Modern creature comforts meet cozy ‘cabin spice’ in this 850 square foot chalet style condo. With ceilings lined in 30 year old pine and bedrooms stocked with high end bedding The Fox Den is the perfect blend for those looking for rustic luxury. Centrally located on Deep Creek Lake in the mountains of Western Maryland — it’s the perfect spot to dip your toes in the water or explore the parks and trails of Garrett County or West Virginia.

The space
The space is small and cozy, it’s been professionally designed to have everything you need for a convenient and comfortable stay no matter what your agenda holds.

The loft features a twin size daybed with new mattress, dedicated work space, and privacy curtains. The first floor bedroom features a queen size bed with casper mattress and windows surrounded by trees and ferns. The living room sofa pull outs into a comfortable queen-size bed.

Please be aware, this space was designed with couples in mind. There are only two queen beds, making this space best for 2 couples or 1 couple with children. (We advise parents to have their children sleep in the downstairs bedroom, not the loft as the spiral staircase can be difficult to navigate in the dark.)

The dining area seats 4 and the kitchen is fully stocked with basic spices, oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper. We also provide paper towels, dish towels, pots, pans, knives, utensils, and a keurig coffee maker as well as an assortment of k-cups from tea to local Traders Coffee House K-cups. We also supply organic matcha packets, Smith Tea, hot cocoa, creamer and half and half. You'll find an assortment of snacks on the kitchen table and sparkling and still water in the fridge.

The living room features lake and mountain views year round from the comfort of the couch and wood burning fireplace. It has a smart TV so you can login to your favorite streaming services or unplug and enjoy the record player and assortment of provided records.

The Fox Den is a 5 minute walk down a designated path to Brenda's Pizza, Traders Coffee House, Subway, or High Mountain Sports where you can rent kayaks or stand up paddle boards to take across the street to the lake. It is 15 minutes from Wisp Resort, 10 Minutes to Deep Creek Lake State Park, or Fork Run Recreation area where you can rock climb, mountain bike, trail run, or hike. The grocery store is also about a 10 minute drive away.

The space is ideal for mature adults, and is not a great fit for people looking to party. We do have neighbors who are full time residents, and we care deeply about ensuring the area remains quiet and peaceful for them. Please plan accordingly.
